About Us

Introducing Claire, the registered music therapist behind Glissando!

I became a music therapist because I’m passionate about supporting people to live their best life. Music can be such a great tool in so many areas, such as understanding ourselves and the world around us, regulating our emotions, expressing ourselves, building meaningful connections with others and helping us process events (big or small) throughout our lives. We can use music to help us communicate effectively and to assist with daily tasks and transitions during the day. It’s such a diverse and fulfilling profession and no two days ever look the same.

I hold a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Western Australia and a Master of Music Therapy from the University of Melbourne. For three years I worked primarily in hospitals, in rehabilitation, mental health, oncology, general medicine and birthing.

I am currently in my second year of private practice, providing group and individual sessions to people of all ages. I am proud to deliver neuro affirming music therapy, drawing on my own lived experience of disability and neurodivergence to inform my practice.
